The Thing That

So here it is Tuesday and how long has it been since I actually wrote something worthwhile on this damn thing? Thank god for Nick - with his endless IMs and his highly entertaining blog he's a constant source of material. And now that I've FINALLY seen Sexy Beast I can respond appropriately when he asks, "Is this a fuck off?" (Yes, Nick, it definitely is, yuh coont.)

But it is appropriate that I'm diaretizing again today (or whatever you wish to call it) since this very evening I'm heading North on Highway 99 with the newly returned Other Mike G. for our first trip to the Drift On Inn in ages. Gawd, I haven't even thought about blackjack in weeks -- hard to believe, I know. Now that we've got a regular poker game going (Wednesdays -- low stakes -- beer a plenty) I've been plowing through poker books, forgetting all my blackjack strategy. Ah well, at least I'll get a "free" meal and cheap drinks.
