Tomorrow's the big move. 90% of the apartment is in boxes and the remaining 10% gets boxed tonight. One great thing about my job, there's plenty of cardboard to be grabbed. I've spent my breaks walking around all the laboratories, picking up discarded boxes that once contained test tubes or enzymes or reagents or whatever. I try to avoid the ones with the big biohazard symbol on them.

Anyway, packing sucks, of course. Unbelievable how much stuff we have. But at least we won't have to hoist it all. For the first time ever we're renting bodies to move our shit. As cool as that is, it's not as cool as this: we got a city permit to block off the street in front of our apartment building - cars parked there after 6am tomorrow are getting their asses towed. The barricades have been up since Friday as per city rules. We can see them from our bedroom window. Wasn't it Kissinger who said that power was the ultimate aphrodisiac?
