Spent a relaxing weekend camping at Rialto Beach on the Olympic Peninsula. Gorgeous weather, beautiful scenery, not quite enough wine. Me, Melle, Snakerhythms and Snakehead. Came back with a pink neck.
But of course the relaxing mood couldn't last into the work week. Oh no. Cycling to work this morning I burned through a stop sign at a four-way stop intersection (as I always do) and got pulled over by a cop. Man, do you ever feel stupid waiting for the cop to run your license while you're stopped on your bicycle. Ten long minutes later and he slaps me with a -- get this -- $101 fine. "We're not allowed to give verbal warnings anymore," he tells me. As of about a month ago. And the fine just went up too. Is he kidding me? Fucking Seattle.
Anyway, I'm fighting this one - all the way to the top!
