Finally -- finally! -- I've corrected an oversight: there's now a link to Cedric's blog up there. Not sure why it's taken so long, perhaps something to do with my latent hatred for Australia (hey, lost any rugby matches lately?) drummed into me during a childhood in England.

And speaking of the colonies, my Buffy Sainte-Marie CD arrived. In the clearest sign of its unmistakable brilliance, none of its 11 songs appear on The Best of Buffy Sainte-Marie -- nor even on Vol. 2. Who compiles these best ofs anyway? The title track -- Moonshot -- is a classic (and the reason I bought it that stoned night, being obsessed with the Britta Phillips/Dean Wareham version) and the lead-off cut, Not the Lovin' Kind, kicks fucking ass by any standard. I'll have to listen to it several more times to get heavy with the other songs. At any rate, it's definitely gonna supplant the newest Radiohead CD as the mainstay in the stereo -- that album, I'm somewhat ashamed to say, I spent the past week listening to on repeat and now have heard it close to a hundred times. Now that no one cares about them anymore I've decided to start listening to this band. Not bad, really - but no BSM.

Thinking about the Turkey I'm gonna eat on Thursday. Also thinking about the extreme diet that could let me live to 140.
