Still no baby. I'm holding out hope that, given a choice, the kid will opt to be born on Canada Day rather than Independence Day. Or somewhere right between the two would be nice. But the cosmic fates will probably ensure that our child is born on the 4th of July. And won't that be fun?

Two opportunities for pranking missed the other day. We were in TJ Maxx, buying me cheap summer clothes for work. I suggested that MM ask where the maternity wedding dresses were. Could have been mildly amusing considering the size of her belly. Earlier that day, as we stood in line at the hospital to pay our deductible, I thought it would be funny if she told them she was here to get an abortion. Well, maybe you had to be there.

Comments:
Aw a baby called Canaydeeah! That would be fun!!

I'm actually leaning towards Prince Edward Island Gregory Meade. Or maybe Labrador Gregory Meade.

Saskie has a ring to it too...

Wish you'd asked about the abortion - that WOULD have been funny.

My favourite is to look puzzled when people ask me when the baby's due and ask "what baby?"

we're (jeff and I) laughing about your pranks, whilst drinking beer on one of two porches in our new house in Ithaca, which is officially gorgeous! Come visit.

Tell M I love her.

Hysterical--you absolutely should have done those pranks! It is great to have you back on the blog (and thanks for the baby updates—we are all rooting for you guys from down here in Atlantic City!)

Ithaca? Kerry, I had no idea you guys moved to Greece.

Atlantic City? Okay, put a dollar on red and let it ride. If it gets up to $1000 we'll name the kid Roulette.

Will do!
