inebriated beachcoming & nonpractical creations
So no tickets. Five minutes of busy signals and access denied. i HATE ticketmaster. Ack. I’m sure for a kidney and a few hundred - tickets could still be mine. But even better - I’m going to see one of my favorite seattle bands this Friday: “Calmer than you are” at EMP. They’re sort of like ‘broken social scene’ but better looking.
Camped at deception pass this weekend. Thanks to spontaneity and some kind coaxing. So glad I went. I spent so many years around there. Sometimes I actually forget what that water does for/to me. Inebriated moonlit beachcombing. Campfires and guitars. Drove around with pithicus on roads filled with memories.

On our way back from Deception pass we stopped in laconner where my once conjoined twin now has a flower shop. We’ve taken really different paths and only catch up a few times a year. I don’t know if we’ll ever be close again but it’s relieving/comforting to know that there’s someone out there that knew you when. I guess it puts a stamp of reality on a past that might as well be a series of hallucinations.
Though I missed her, seeing her shop, (closed on Sunday), caught on the edge of my creativity and how she use to inspire me to just make shit… so on Sunday I made a lamp (copper wire and homemade paper). I think my behemoth creation is growing on me. Pithicus sweetly loves it. But I think I’ll go back to non practical creations. Maybe mosaics?
